Otek’s HI-Q 121 is a bar graph meter that was created as a byproduct of two of our most popular units the HI-Q 119 and the HI-Q 120. Using the hardware from the HI-Q 119 and altering the casing from the HI-Q 120, we are able to present a slimmer meter that maintains its Seismic, EMI, RFI, and SV&V qualifications. This bar graph was particularly designed to make the switch from the old analog technology to new technology as seamless and cost efficient as possible.

Input linearization including polynomials, X-Y tables (TC & RTD), flow calculations, and a variety of other mathematical functions make this digital panel meter an ideal tool for process monitoring and automation. With an interchangeable faceplate the bar graph can be customized to display a wide range of variables and scales, including watts, volts, amps, RPM, percent or any sensor output.

The HI-Q121 brings color to the instrument panel or control room with up to two 51-segment LED arrays that allow range based control of the color displayed. The automatic tri color bar changes color upon exceeding programmable limits, the standard settings are red for low (or high), yellow for caution, and green for normal range, which complies with HMI and NUREG 0800.  Up to two 4-digit LED displays complement the bar graphs for high precision and easy interaction.  The HI-Q121 is available with 1, 2 or 3 analog inputs, and with analog outputs, up to six 10 A relays or up to eight Open Collector Transistors, capable of providing extensive process control. All settings are accessible over the meter’s serial port; its ability to transmit readings make this digital panel meter ideal for integration with DCS, SCADA and other control system applications. This instrument is fitted with screw terminal connectors for all analog I/O, a DB-9 connector for the serial connection option and is compatible with USB 2.0 via a converter (USB-Transceiver). The HI-Q121 bar graph display meter is HMI/MMI qualified and compliant with many military, nuclear, and aerospace requirements.

The HI-Q2000/2k is part of Otek’s line of versatile programmable process controllers that can be customized or programmed uniquely to a variety of process control systems and applications. This model was designed to replace old analog technology of electromechanical edgewise bar graph panel meters. It is a form-and-fit replacement for the internals of Versatile’s VMI2000 indicator with the ability to simply “plug and play” when used as an open-frame unit and inserted into the old existing housing.

The HI-Q2000/2k is highly programmable and available in single or dual, with vertical and horizontal configurations. It is capable of displaying a large number of variables and scales, including watts, volts, amps, RPM, percent or any sensor output. Up to two displays are 4 digit LED displays that complement the bar graphs by adding precision and ease of interaction. Up to two bar graph displays are 51-segment LED arrays that allow for range based control of the color displayed. The automatic tri color bar changes color upon exceeding programmable limits, the standard settings are red for low (or high), yellow for caution, and green for normal range, which complies with HMI and NUREG 0800. Standard colors include red, green, and amber with others available upon request. All displays can be configured with programmable limits and allow for dimming, blinking, and pointing. The model HI-Q219 programmable auto tri-color LED bargraph controller offers the same rugged hardware and firmware as the popular model HI-Q119 (and other bargraphs of the HI-Q family) but it is less than 3" deep.  This makes it ideal for applications where space behind the panel is limited.  Plastic or metal housing.  Both Mil-Standard and EPRI 102323 compliant versions are available on request.

The UPM-0 is available in either a loop (4-20mA), A.C. or D.C. signal or external power version. The external powered versions can accommodate 4 relays, isolated DAC and power for the analog output (1 per channel).  Other options include >30 signal conditioners and isolated input power options, as well as Ethernet, USB or RS485 and automatic/programmable colors (red/green/yellow) on each character.

You can use the UPM as a DPM (Digital Panel Meter) for analog inputs and/or a universal timer/counter for 15 different functions, including Log & Anti-Log, Datum Zero, Frequency, etc.  In addition, the included match functions (+, -, √, ÷, x) enable it to be used as a scientific counter.

The UPM-0 meets 1/8 DIN mechanical dimensions and is available in Nuclear Class 1E, MIL-Std., and industrial grades.

The UPM Series features 10 different mechanical models, from the flat pack to the explosion proof, and custom orders are welcome!
